    Topco Associates is currently seeking a Senior Member Development Director - Retail for the Member Development group in Elk Grove Village, IL.


    Under the leadership and support of the VP of Member Development, build and strengthen partnerships by establishing and driving value-added initiatives and programming into assigned members.


    1. Work in a collaborative manner with Topco programs to identify and dimensionalize assigned member volume and program gaps and align with member on strategy and tactics to achieve shared business objectives.
    2. Establish frequent and impactful business planning and review processes (monthly) with each member to nurture partnerships and to improve transparency, accountability, performance and execution.
    3. Utilize and leverage syndicated/category data and internal resources to develop profitable solutions and initiatives to drive incremental growth and value for assigned members
    4. Construct and execute an annual operating plan with every assigned member to include both internal and external communication and score carding strategy.
    5. Effectively wire assigned members at ‘every’ level of their organization to strategically identify and address growth opportunities and align with functional decision-makers.
    6. Deliver assigned member sales growth plan, participation, penetration,  and cost of goods objectives/targets
    7. Manage and oversee the successful performance of direct reports including Senior Manager and Manager of Member Development – Retail.



    Minimum of a four-year degree in Business Administration or related subject.  MBA preferred.


    Technical skills:

    Proficient in the use of professional business software; excel, word and powerpoint


    Previous experience:

    Proven senior key account experience developing and profitably growing top grocery retailer/wholesaler business.   Ideal candidate has shown solid account progression within industry/category leading CPG manufacturer. Experience within multiple disciplines (eg. sales, marketing, management, procurement/logistics) is a plus.  Minimum of 12 (twelve) years of Business/Account development is required.

    • High level of capability in analyzing and utilizing syndicated data..IRI, Nielsen, etc.
    • Self-starter and self managed.
    • Ability to travel at 50%
