    Topco Associates is currently seeking a Fuel Analyst for the Indirect Spend team in Quincy, MA.


    The role of the Fuel Analyst position is to manage inventory positions across multiple terminals in over 20 States.  The fuel analyst will manage pipeline and ethanol shipments as well as track daily sales across the TopFuel network.  The Fuel Specialist will also be responsible for some of our daily pricing and other trading and inventory activities as well. The TopFuel program has achieved tremendous success over the last 8 years generating significant value for the membership.  Member purchases through the TopFuel program continue to grow at an extremely rapid pace thus the TopFuel program is seeking to hire a Fuel Analyst. 


    • Fuel Inventory Management & Forecasting
    • Refined Products Pipeline Scheduling
    • Ethanol Scheduling
    • Contract Compliance
    • Load Shifting
    • Daily Pricing
    • Reporting



    Bachelors degree preferably in an analytical or business discipline (Accounting/ Finance, Procurement, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)


    Technical Skills:

    • Ability to utilize professional business software (i.e. Microsoft Office)
    • Ability to use, or learn to use, Topco business systems.
    • Exposure to structured strategic sourcing processes.

     Previous experience:

    • One to four years business experience analyzing complex data.
    • Experience analyzing complex data.
    • High degree of competence in quickly developing commodity expertise.
    • Strong sense of responsibility and ownership of projects
    • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and the flexibility to adjust to demands of the job.
    • Strong communication skills at all levels of the organization.
    • Knowledge of SAP is a plus

     Other qualifications:

    • Detail-oriented with the ability to successfully manage time-sensitive issues.
    • Clearly communicate to others both verbally and in writing.
    • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Skilled at handling multiple tasks
    • Skilled at influencing decisions using qualitative and quantitative data

    • Ability to organize information and make presentations to all levels of an organization both internally and externally
    • Able and willing to travel as needed to visit clients and suppliers.
